International Pipeline projects are using PCCP to assure success

Over the past 15 years, Price Brothers Company has provided production
plant equipment and technical support for the $20-billion Great
Man-Made River Project in North Africa, this centurys largest
pipeline project. |
Pipeline engineers and owners of overseas projects understand
wisdom of using PCCP
Over the past 20 years, Price Brothers' international activities
have grown from an occasional project to a very substantial and
separately operated business.
Today, prestressed concrete cylinder pipe and Price Brothers are
synonymous in the minds of many foreign engineers and contractors.
They have learned to appreciate and rely on the same quality products
and service we have provided our customers in the United States
for over 50 years.
We now export pipe to several large overseas projects each year
and have since 1990 established a new pipe production plant in
a foreign country every 2 to 3 years. In addition, we provide
consulting, design services, and a supply of critical components
and spare parts to almost a dozen foreign PCCP plants.
Recently the company consolidated its international activities
with its operations in London, England, under the direction of
John R. Stoner.
Established in the early 1980's, Price Brothers (UK) Limited has
for 15 years provided consulting and support for the Great Man-Made
River Project in North Africa, where over 1800 miles of 156-inch
diameter pipe have been produced and installed in harsh desert
conditions.

Today, PB (UK) continues to work on this huge project as it also
administers other work in China, the Middle East, Vietnam and
Africa. PB (UK) has available many of the resources and personnel
from our U.S. operations to help implement projects.
Keeping in touch with customers and projects around the world
is one of the great challenges for any business. E-mail, laptop
computers, and translators are the tools of our trade. A daily
conference call with each active project is also part of the business--even
when the project is 12 time zones away.
Having dedicated employees willing to travel and live in less
than ideal conditions has been the key to our success. Many of
our U.S. based employees have been involved with training and
project start-ups.
Look to future issues of PIPESITE for news on our other exciting
international projects, such as a current contract underway in
Argentina. Or explore this website for more information and project
reports on a variety of PCCP applications.
