Looking to Your Future By emphasizing new products and solid growth, we're making sure our customers continue to enjoy superior quality and service For the past decade, Price Brothers Company has focused on producing and selling a single product: AWWA C-301 Prestressed Concrete Cylinder Pipe (PCCP). Now we’re introducing two new products that will help us serve many customers even better and more often.
First, we are introducing AWWA C-303 Bar-Wrapped Pipe (BWP), which will be made in our Palatka, Florida, facilities to serve water system owners across the entire eastern United States. Although it's been popular in Texas, California and Canada for many years, no one has previously made BWP east of the Mississippi River. This pipe is lighter in weight, more adaptable to field changes and costs less to install than PCCP. Bar-Wrapped Pipe surrounds the cylinder with a mortar coating to assure the same superior corrosion protection that has proved so effective on C-301 PCCP for more than 60 years. We are also adding new facilities to produce C-300 and C-302 pipe for special applications such as jacking.
In a second major move, we have established a new business group to provide carbon steel and stainless steel pipe for above- and below-ground use in water and wastewater treatment plants, aerial crossings and industrial plants. In speaking with customers, they have expressed a real need for an experienced pipe fabricator who has the ability to design, produce and promptly deliver steel and stainless steel pipe and fittings for such jobs. With our many years of experience in engineering and manufacturing large-diameter steel shell fittings for underground applications with C301 concrete cylinder pipe, our entry into this new business is a logical step forward.
