Partnering with Price Brothers assures your project's success...today and tomorrow

We serve as your partner on each pipeline
project--now and for decades to come

Many public works and construction industry leaders have adopt the concept of partnering to help establish more effective working relationships among project owners, engineers, contractors, and suppliers. When based on mutual trust and a shared understanding of the risks and goals, partnering leads to much more open, two-way communication, prompt resolution of problems, and a "win-win" record of success.

For Price Brothers, the partnering way of doing business is not only greatly preferred, it's the way we've been doing business for more than 100 years. That's why partnering with Price Brothers works so well. We know what it takes.

If you're among those who have installed our pressure pipe, remember that Price Brothers continues to be your partner...today and tomorrow.

1. Our customers get up-front design support

Your pipeline project can benefit by calling on our support team at the early stages of design. That's because every section and fitting of prestressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP) is engineered to serve your specific application. In addition to requesting copies of our new PCCP Design Guide and Engineering Manual, ask your Price Brothers sales representative to help you work directly with our engineers on any special ideas, problems, and requirements you have. On most projects, such up-front design partnering leads to an optimum design and very important savings.

2. Our customers tap our world of experience

One of the benefits Price Brothers can offer your pipeline project is our wide-ranging experience in engineered water pipeline systems. Having now produced thousands of miles of quality pipe over the past 60 yearsp;including the world's largest water pipelinep;we offer a wealth of pipe design, production, and installation technology that could work for you, too. Three key elements of partnering are trust, long-term commitment, and shared vision. To help your project achieve those goals, you can profit by our experience as the leading supplier of the water pipe that has proved most reliable...prestressed concrete cylinder pipe.

3. Our customers like our partnering attitude

Every Price Brothers employee feels directly responsible for maintaining our role as a fully customer-conscious "teamwork" company. More than an attitude, it's a commitment. You'll quickly sense that in how we operate in the partnering process. We work to assume our full share of responsibility, to maintain a positive attitude, and to communicate openly and honestly with all those we work with. In our partnering role with owners, engineers, contractors and other suppliers, we stay alert to identify and quickly solve the challenges before they become problems.

4. Our customers get the highest quality pipe

Every independent survey comparing pipe used for water transmission lines has confirmed that prestressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP) provides the most reliable, trouble-free service. What's more, the plants producing Price Brothers PCCP maintain the most comprehensive and effective quality assurance program in the piping industry. The inspections and tests we perform meet -- and in most cases exceed -- all AWWA C301 requirements. Our full-time staff of quality assurance inspectors and supervisors, modern testing laboratories at each plant, and company-wide commitment to "building in" top quality enable Price Brothers to ship our customers tens of thousands of PCCP sections and matching fittings every year without defects.

5. Our customers get their pipe right on time

As supplier of the pipe and fittings for your water pipeline project, Price Brothers understands clearly how essential it is to deliver the right pipe to the right place at the right time. That's where effective partnering helps avoid costly downtime by inspiring closer communication, coordination, and cooperation. Our excellent record for prompt delivery to the hundreds of pipeline projects we supply each year reflects credit not only on the efficiency of our modern pipe production plants but upon the close spirit of partnership we enjoy with the owners, engineers, and contractors we've worked with over the years. We thank them all.

6. Our customers receive full-scale field support

Due to continually changing application, soil, and load requirements along a pipeline's path, PCCP sections and fittings supplied by Price Brothers are always individually designed, manufactured, inspected, identified, and shipped in the same sequence they are to be installed in the trench. This sequencing is graphically documented in a detailed laying schedule Price Brothers design engineers prepare for the entire pipeline installation. This schedule also guides production and shipping of pipe to the job site. Highly trained and experienced Price Brothers field service representatives are also "on call" to help project owners, engineers, and contractors needing any technical support or training on the job site.

7. Our customers are long-term partners

After your pipeline is in service, Price Brothers remains your partner. To our knowledge, all pipe systems supplied by Price Brothers since 1943 are still in service. Very few are ever damaged. Even so, we provide a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week emergency repair service. More likely you'll want to tap in new pipelines or service connections. When you do, Price Brothers offers all the hardware and technical support you need to make quick, reliable taps as your lines stay in service. Or, for taps on larger-diameter pipe, you may want our tapping specialists to do the job.

It's our tradition...

After starting his construction business in 1899, Harry Steele Price moved the company to Dayton in 1916 when he was awarded a major contract to rebuild one of the dams on the Miami River that had been lost in the city's disastrous 1913 flood.

No sooner had work begun than World War I broke out. Wages for construction workers increased more than 400% in just a few months, and finishing the dam proved a long, costly struggle. But it was finished, and although Harry Price lost most of his firm's working capital, he had preserved his company's professional reputation.

In 1926 Price Brothers entered the water transmission pipe business by supplying Dayton with 25,000 feet of 84-inch reinforced concrete pressure pipe. That pipeline remains in daily service today providing an important supply of water to the community.

With Price Brothers as a partner, you always win!

For Price Brothers, partnering is the essence of customer service. Whether it's a formal program with written agreements or simply a handshake, you can count on us as a cooperative partner who shares your commitment and desire for a fully successful project.

Our thoroughly trained and experienced sales team is supported by a talented staff of pipe designers and technical specialists who share our commitment to full-time, full-scale customer service.

Even though we successfully handle some of the world's largest water pipeline projects, we are equally committed to every other project we're privileged to work with-regardless of size. We know there is never a substitute for teamwork and cooperation on any pipeline project.
